Dr Aamir Aslam has specialist expertise in the wide spectrum of rheumatological disease including rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis, gout and soft-tissue rheumatism. He has significant experience in clinical immunology, with a particular interest in the diagnostics and therapeutics of immune mediated diseases such as inflammatory muscle disease and SLE. He is also skilled in joint and soft tissue injection techniques.
His clinics operate from the Spire Hospital in Leeds, where he is available to provide private consultations to allow diagnosis and management of rhematolgical and autoimmune conditions.

ABOUT
Dr Aamir Aslam graduated in Medicine from the University of Glasgow in 1998 and obtained membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2000. Before his rheumatology training, he undertook higher specialist training in Clinical Immunology at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and spent a period of time in Immunology research at the University of Oxford, graduating with a DPhil in 2010. He then undertook higher specialist training in rheumatology in Leeds in 2011 and has been practising as a Consultant Rheumatologist in the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust since 2016.
